The troop is actually run by its boy leaders. With the
guidance of the Scoutmaster and his assistants, they plan
the program, conduct troop meetings, and provide leadership
among their peers.

The Troop is supported by a Troop Committee, all volunteers.
There is a Troop Committee Chairman and other troop committee
members. Most troop committees consist of family members. It
is the responsibility of the Troop Committee to plan
activities, outings, service projects, fundraisers, etc. All
Troop business and important decisions are discussed.
Parents input and willingness to serve on the Troop
Committee is essential to the success of the Troop. Please
plan on becoming an active member of this committee.
The Merit Badge
Counselors are key players in the Boy Scout advancement
program.
Whatever your area of expertise or interest, whether it is a
special craft or hobby (leatherwork, coin collecting), a
profession (aviation, engineering), or perhaps a life skill
(cooking, personal management, communications), as a merit
badge counselor, you can play a vital role in stirring a
young man's curiosity about that particular topic. By
serving as a merit badge counselor, you offer your time,
knowledge, and other resources so that Scouts can explore a
topic of interest.
